Streamsong Golf and Spa Resort is the latest luxury Florida resort to open aimed at nature lovers and golf enthusiasts.

Located between Orlando and Tampa, Streamsong is a far cry from Florida’s ubiquitous beach hotels and theme park resorts. The resort’s developer, The Mosaic Company has built the new resort on what use to be phosphate mines.

Streamsong boasts fine dining restaurants, multiple bars and a grotto-style spa with seven unique pool experiences and nine treatment rooms, is a metaphor for the prehistoric seas that once covered the region. Fragmentary Blue, the Lodge’s rooftop lounge, provides the perfect spot for incomparable sunrise and sunset viewing and stargazing.

The resort’s two spectacular, intertwining 18-hole golf courses opened last year and were designed by renowned golf course architects Tom Doak, Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. The clubhouse offers an additional 12 guestrooms, which offer sweeping water views.

Richard Mogensen, Streamsong’s general manager, said: “Our mission at Streamsong is to redefine what guests, particularly golfers from all over the world, should expect from a luxury resort.”

The two courses, Streamsong Red and Streamsong Blue topped GOLF magazine’s list of the “Best New Courses You Can Play” and were recently ranked as the 12th and 14th best resort courses in the United States by Golfweek.com.

Apart from golf, other leisure activities at the luxury Florida hotel include bass fishing lake tours, bird watching, nature trails, and clay pigeon shooting. There’s also a lakeside infinity pool. There’s also more than 18,000 square feet of meeting space as well as 40,000 square feet of outdoor space for venues and events.
