High-luxury resort Iniala puts spotlight on Phuket

Inialia Beach House is an exclusive resort that is set to open on a tranquil section of Thailand in December. Boasting international design, superlative Basque cuisine and philanthropic intentions – the resort brings a new vision to a sybaritic lifestyle.

Located on Natai Beach, off the west coast of Thailand and only 20 minutes from Phuket airport, Inialia comes with gobsmacking views of the beach and the Andaman Sea.

The luxury resort in Phuket is the brainchild of former trader and now philanthropist Mark Weingerd. “Iniala will set a world-class standard for jaw-dropping global design and comfort. It will become the ultimate private and exclusive experience in Thailand,” he said.

The luxury 10-bedroom residence comprises of three villas and a penthouse that have been created by some of the best-known names in architecture and design, alongside a restaurant by one of Spain’s most acclaimed Michelin star chefs.

Each of the three villas boasts their own luxury spa, therapist and unique designs from a kaleidoscope of world-class designers and architects, including Brazil’s famous brothers Humberto and Fernando Campana, Spain’s Jamie Hayon, Irish furniture-maker Joseph Walsh, New Zealander Mark Brazier Jones, English designer Graham Lamb, Spain’s Lazaro Rosa Violan and architectural practice A-Cero.

The show-stopping penthouse is collaboration between the founder and Graham Lamb. It is futuristic, innovative, surreal and sexy. And on the ground floor, for adults, is a fully-equipped private gymnasium inspired by heroes of sport and art alongside a jaw-dropping bar – the Playhouse – filled with designer Ramon Ubeda’s beautifully-engineered games tables and boys’ toys for the design-conscious.

The stylish property was recently featured on Keeping Up with the Kardashians when the family went on vacation to Phuket.

Behind the high-octane glamour and debauchery, however, is a genuine philanthropic intent. Fifteen per cent of all revenues will go to charity The Inspirasia Foundation, which works across Thailand, Indonesia and India to help mentally and physically disabled people. The charity offers training, education and works at a strategic level with NGOs too.

The luxury Phuket villas will be available for rent on an individual basis or you can book the complete residence for its sybaritic splendour – but knowing you are contributing to the resort’s philanthropic endeavours.
