Design Fairs

Now in its 7th year, Tent London returns to the Old Truman Brewery with its showcase of home grown and overseas talent.

Over the past eleven years, a number of key design exhibitions have become an integral and vital part of the London Design Festival, each offering an exciting mix of designers, products, talks, installations, restaurants, bars and innovations housed under one roof.

This year’s FADfest came to end last week and forms part of a more wide-ranging event, the Barcelona Design Festival, which took place between 11 June and 11 July.

Founded in 2011 by Odile Hainaut and Claire Pijoulat, WantedDesign has become a must for design aficionados. The exposition presented an expertly curated collection of groundbreaking designers during this year’s New York Design Week.

This year at Design Miami/ Basel 2013, leading international galleries and designers introduced colour into their limited-edition and collectable work. Vibrant rainbow hues, pop colours and bold neons were seen in a range of lighting, furniture, jewellery and home accessories.

One of the largest design extravaganzas is hitting the US this weekend. Dwell on Design (DOD) is America’s largest contemporary design event that takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

This year Design Miami/ Basel celebrated its eight edition with an impressive roster of 40 international participants in the gallery programme and seven emerging galleries as part of the Design On/Site programme in a brand new venue designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron on Basel’s Messeplatz.
