Zucchetti.Kos unveil stylish new bathware range
Italian manufacturer Zucchetti.Kos has unveiled its new bath ware range for the UK market. The new collection, named Agora, includes contemporary taps and accessories by Zucchetti and a freestanding bathtub and washbasins by Kos.
Designed by architects Ludovica and Roberto Palomba, Agorà is the result of a design inspired by the elegant lines and classic style of the 1930s. The tub and basins have a sculpted look and the timeless style of this design is blended with new-gen materials like Silkstone, characterised by a velvety touch and matt effect.
Founded in 1929, the Zucchetti Kos Group today is managed by the third generation off the family. And over the last 75 years the brand has built a reputation that is synonymous with innovation, design and quality.
The new range of taps have been reworked by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba from one of the first traditional dual-control series produced almost 80 years ago by Zucchetti. They combine the appeal of tradition with practical new options including both monobloc and three-hole, and are available in a range of finishes including chrome, gold, bronze and polished nickel.
Soft shapes and quality materials combined with attention to detail offering a collection that can work for both classic and contemporary spaces define Agorà.
This ‘rediscovered’ project reworked by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba is a classic collection that has been brought up to date with new details and materials; tradition enhanced by innovation.
Ludovica and Roberto Palomba said: “Our inspiration was a project from the thirties. Discovering the old drawings in the Zucchetti archives and reworking them was like learning through study. We have kept the original imprint and added contemporary details.
“We can always learn from the past, especially if it is seen as a starting point for renewal with even greater awareness.”
Elena Zucchetti, CEO of the Zucchetti.Kos Group, said: “The idea of Agora came from a desire to restyle products in our more classical collections, given that in recent years we had focused more on design-oriented articles.”
The contemporary new range is available through distributor Farmiloe, the firm is known for importing and distributing design-led, bathroom fixtures and fittings in the UK for the sector’s most respected retailers.
