Classes will take place on the 17th floor roof-terrace with magnificent views of the Manhattan sky-line and Central Park, each lesson will also have a real life model attending for guests to work on their portrait sketching as well as landscape scenes. A New York Academy of Art alumni, Anna LaFond, will guide you through the hour-long session encouraging traditional as well as experimental techniques. Each class is suitable for all levels, from absolute beginners to established artists looking to expand their skills. Children aged 6+ are also encouraged to join the classes at a reduced rate, the perfect way for creative families to spend an artistic morning together.

The only hotel member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux group in New York City, The Surrey’s comfortable interiors, created by award-winning designer Lauren Rottet,  define that inimitable sense of New York style.
