Contemporary Trevereux Hill home, Oxted, England

British house builder Millgate Homes has unveiled the Trevereux Hill project. Completed in 2014, the collection of traditional country homes alongside a striking contemporary residence and luxury apartments are located in the village of Oxted, Surrey, England.

It’s not often that you’ll find a new home situated on such a prime site that it literally takes your breath away but award-winning luxury house builder, Millgate, have done it again.

The luxury home, which is part of the Trevereux Hill development was unveiled today. The former Marie Curie Research Institute has been transformed into six spacious three bedroom penthouse apartments boasting grandstand countryside views.

In addition, the private gated development will offer family accommodation in the form of two five bedroom detached homes and an exceptional five bedroom residence which sees Millgate’s chief architect Greg Meier explore a new direction in contemporary design.

Greg Meier, architect, said: “The striking use of glass and clean linear lines on the contemporary residence makes this Millgate’s first-ever mixed vernacular development truly outstanding.”

Offering residents not only a stunning bird’s eye view of the sublime Surrey countryside, the six luxury apartments also boast a rich history. The restored building was originally built in 1886 and owned by Charing Cross Hospital and was later acquired by the Marie Curie Trust and transformed into a cancer research centre.

Visitors can explore the carefully designed interior space, as well as marvel at the American Iron Horse showpiece motorbike on display in the contemporary residence, which was completed by interior designers, Alexander James Interiors.
