Villa Ypenburg III by BBVH Architecture

BBVH Architecture have designed this striking home in The Hague, Netherlands, one which encapsulates modern, efficient and luxurious living.

The exterior of this home is immediately prominent. Set amidst colourful homes and amongst beautiful, natural wildlife, BBVH Architecture have created a home which utilises predominantly dark colours for the exterior in order to stand out and give it a unique air. Aside from the other homes and the trees, this residence is also surrounded by a river, giving it the feel of a luxurious castle fitted with a moat. The uneven build of the house is also a contemporary technique, whilst a courtyard-like area gives the residence an unenviable amount of space and luxury with sleek, stone flooring and comfortable furnishings.

With a beautiful interior, this house ensures to maintain the excellence of the exterior. The client would walk straight into a spacious, efficient living area with a non-segregated kitchen and main living area. The latter is a sight to behold; a deluge of various colours such as white, blue, brown and magenta used on the furnishings, making sure that no one seat is the same as another. This is a brilliant, modern technique used to strike the client’s imagination. As well as this manipulation of the main living area seats, the dining table seats are all a different style and shape. The colour however is beautiful and cream, fitting in perfectly with the rest of the living area and kitchen, which is fitted with state-of-the-art appliances.

The other contemporary aspect of the home is in the staircase, where floating steps are utilised to create a magical, luxurious feel, just like the rest of the house.
