International architectural practice, Gettys, have designed the The Westin Hotel, Golf & Spa project. Completed in 2013, the luxury hotel can be found in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
According to the architects: ” We are passionate about the evolution of design here at Gettys. Drawing upon our talented pool of creative minds and architects, we breathe new life into hospitality environments. Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa tasked us with fashioning their interiors. We moulded much more.
“Hewn limestone. Ancient bronze. Rustic walnut. A soothing organic ambiance delivered through texture and tone. We crafted luminous spaces, replete with water features. Breathtaking vistas, viewed from the sumptuous comfort of earthy jewel hue lounge seats. A stunning complementary palette, imagined and delivered by Gettys’ experts.”
This five-star luxury oasis, that is Westin Hotels and Resorts branded and managed property is owned by TDIC Tourist Development Investment Corporation, Abu Dhabi. The adjacent golf club consists of world-class golfing facilities and an architecturally striking clubhouse. The luxury hotel offers several amenities and comforts to those who live in outlying residential community.
Adelto loves the luxury hotel design, which is contemporary, with bold, clean lines. Contemporary, organic finishes including naturally hewn limestone, bronze, travertine, rustic walnut, teak, and hand cast glass bring the place alive. Comfortable and stylish furnishings complement the architectural finishes in relaxed earthy jewel tones accented with texture and luster for a soothing and sophisticated colour palette. The voluminous, light filled two-storey lobby features world class art, dancing water features, and a stunning vista to the surrounding golf terrain. The overall effect is a soothing and a sophisticated colour palette.
