The Luxury Ocean Club Hotel, Bahamas

On an island called Paradise lies an enchanted place, graced by white sand beaches and warm turquoise waters. One&Only Ocean Club harkens back to a time of simple pleasures interspersed with moments of pure bliss.

Once the private estate of A&P heir, Huntington Hartford II, One&Only Ocean Club conveys an ambiance of a classic colonial plantation, edged by miles of soft dune beach. From its pillared portico and manicured lawns to the romantic Versailles-inspired gardens and 12th-century Augustinian cloister, this resort blends the grandeur of an Old World manor with the relaxed style of The Bahamas.

The luxury Caribbean hotel is situated on the eastern end of Paradise Island in The Bahamas, a 40-minute drive from Nassau International Airport. The climate is tropical, with sunny skies and cool evenings in the winter. The summer season brings warmer temperatures and occasional rain showers.

Guest accommodations at the luxury Caribbean resort reflects the refined qualities of an elegant home, tasteful in every detail and appointed with modern amenities. There are two distinct wings – Hartford and Crescent, a cluster of cottages in the tropical gardens, and three luxurious villas.

The three and four-bedroom villas, perched above the beach, are the most luxurious accommodations we’ve seen. The gated entry opens to a garden courtyard with a jetted tub and shaded dining patio. Glass doors lead into the villa great room, where 25-foot
wide louvered doors reveal expansive views of the infinity-edge pool, ocean and sky. The style is distinctively British Colonial – polished marble floors, vaulted ceilings, gentle fans and wood furnishings.

You will be spoilt for choice from gourmet continental cuisine and poolside concierge service to 24-hour in-room dining, the luxury Caribbean  hotel provides a variety of culinary options – Clubhouse, Dune Bar, Courtyard Terrace, Pool Terrace Cafe, Dune  and additional restaurants from gourmet Italian to classic French cuisine can be found at nearby Atlantis, Paradise Island.
