Luxury Pestovo Property, Russia
Russian architect Alexey Nikolashin, of SL* project, has designed this luxury property. The luxury mansion can be found in Pestovo, close to Moscow, Russia.
The luxury waterside property comes with its own moorings; the proprietor owns his own yacht, and requested a ‘simple and effortless waterfront property’.
The client did not want too much sophisticated technology in the luxury Russian property. In response to this the architect decided not install any air-conditioning. The client had previously lived in a property with high-tech gadgets and technology and didn’t find use for them. It’s much more pleasant to open the window and breathe fresh air.
Besides the main building there is an extra room/space. This space is used by staff, security, and where you can find the garages, boiler rooms and a professional kitchen. Outside in the yard a a fireplace and stove for cooking have been installed – a great place for al fresco dining or a barbecue. The canopy has been designed to protect guests from the elements.
The interior design included simplifying the indoor areas. Stone portals around the doors and openings – a characteristic detail of an Italian villa. Having columns instead of concrete walls were much more economical. The sloped ceilings were fitted with imitation wooden beams. Instead of using ubiquitous American furniture – modern Italian brands were used. That furniture and architectural techniques largely contributed to the fact that the luxury Russian house is not rural, but a warm, simple and stylish property.
