Contemporary design showcased at Casa Mirador by AR+C

Ecuadorian interior designers and architects, AR+C, have designed the Casa Mirador project. Completed in 2013, the contemporary single-storey property is located in Guayllabamba, Ecuador.

This contemporary home in Ecuador has been built and designed so it blends in naturally with its countryside landscape.

According to the architect: “The project was conceived as a continuation of nature to which is embedded inside the mountain. This green platform allows the preservation of a lookout site prior to constructions.

“A perimeter contention wall composes the primary structure, whilst an air chamber allows thermal comfort and protects from humidity.

“The structure was calculated to hold about 20 cm of vegetation on the roof. And open skylights allow cross-ventilation and communication from the house to the roof.”
