Interior designer Joanna Wood and her team has completed this project in Upper Phillimore Gardens, Kensington, London.
The beautiful period property had previously been converted into flats before being bought by an international businessman who travelled frequently but hoped to use the property to entertain and spend time with his family.
Excluding the historical rooms and the protected exterior, the entire home was gutted, and a basement and swimming pool were dug out of the foundations. Everything you see, structurally and superficially, has been designed and implemented by Joanna – her team complete both architectural and interior design projects. The original staircase was rebuilt as part of the revised installation, and state of the art technology implemented throughout.
Joanna describes the weight and quality of the audio/visual, lighting and heating as mirroring the standard of five-star hotels. Likewise the art in the collection, sourced by Ben Brown Fine Art, is world-class and complements the contemporary interior effortlessly.
