Porto Montenegro’s brand new lido complex for summer

Set to become the number one hotspot on the Adriatic this summer, Porto Montenegro has announce an exciting new concept for the Lido.

The redesigned complex now comprises a members only pool club – Lido Mar, daytime restaurant – Lido Pranzo, fine dining restaurant – Lido Rooftop, and Scaramanga nightclub.

The space has been remodelled by Tino Zervudachi of MHZ in a sophisticated palette of marine blues, beach whites and natural woods. The new look offers a fresh, elegant aesthetic feel with imported furnishings from B&B Italia, Rausch and Tuuci to ensure the upmost in comfort and style.

A total of 68 day beds, 12 double-beds and six cabañas line the edge of the pool accommodating both single guests and groups up to six. Newly introduced this year is a menu of poolside classics with an Italian twist, available throughout the day and served at a private dining area reserved exclusively for pool guests, alongside expertly mixed cocktails and a selection of international  wines.

Open every day from June to September, the pool club caters exclusively to Porto Montenegro homeowners, marina guests, Regent Hotel guests and visiting VIPs. Day memberships are available via advance application only and are strictly limited.

Lido Pranzo is an informal daytime restaurant located at the foot of the Lido Mar pool. Open to everyone, it features a selection of fresh salads, seafood pastas and grilled fish using locally sourced ingredients prepared in a refined yet casual style.

Lido Rooftop, a fine dining restaurant is due to open in Boka Bay this summer too – offering an upmarket dining experience in an al fresco setting, it is open to all every night of the week in summer and is perfectly positioned for sunset views over the pool. The Mediterranean menu features the likes of truffle risotto, grilled sea bass and veal Milanese.

Scaramanga brings an exclusive nightclub experience to Montenegro for the very first time, instantly filling a gap in the country’s nightlife scene for an intimate, luxurious, after dinner venue. Interiors feature a decadent circus tent-style roof and designer seating around the small but perfectly formed dance floor. Star lighting designer Patrick Woodroff, of the London Olympic Opening ceremony and long-time collaborator of the Rolling Stones, was responsible for the dramatic indoor lighting features. Overseeing all of Scaramanga’s events and music is Immersive Cult of London who has worked with the likes of Chanel, Christie’s and Secret Cinema. Their focus is on dance classics, visiting international DJs and the occasional live performance from special guests.

Also launching on 1 August is the Regent Porto Montenegro Hotel and Residences, featuring 51 double rooms and 35 one- to three-bedroom suits and residences as well as three on-site restaurants and a signature spa catering to the needs of affluent travellers from around the world.
