Austin-based architectural practice Michael Hsu Office of Architecture have completed the W Penthouse project. Completed in 2012, the luxury property can be found in Austin Texas, US.
Located in the heart of downtown Austin, this luxury penthouse in the W Hotel residences was designed to maximise both horizontal and vertical square footage. A custom fabricated platform of bent blacked steel was erected in the living room to take full advantage of the sweeping views of downtown. Warm materials of black walnut, white leather tile, and brushed bronze complement the modern interior while carefully selected art and furnishings bring in the client’s playful personality. The master bath’s Wenge cabinets and Carrera marble tile and countertops provide a simple and elegant backdrop to the vivid wall covering wrapping an existing concrete column. The master bedroom, in the luxury Austin property is furnished by the owner, features a bright yellow construction scaffolding bed frame, which enables a master living and gaming area below.
