Luxury penthouse in Saint Petersburg, Russia

The Penthouse in Saint Petersburg, is luxurious and unique in essence with bespoke and striking interior design features seen throughout.

Completed in 2012 by Berlin-based architectural practice nps tchoban voss in collaboration with ST Design, the penthouse is a private residential project situated within the heart of St. Petersburg. The stunning property can be found on the peak of one of the tallest high rise buildings in the city.

The triplex apartment offers stunning 360° panoramic views of the entire city and consists of three floors totalling with two large terraces on the upper floors.

Each floor is connected by way of an internal staircase meandering around the central core of the building. The lower level consists of both living and private spaces divided by organically shaped “utility spaces” providing a unique loft like atmosphere. Venturing to the middle level leaves you satisfied with both its entertaining and business space/ facilities, which then leaves you with the upper level conservatorium providing the most spectacular and breath taking views of the city leaving you with a sense of omniscience .

The luxury Russian apartment’s most truly unique highlight is the ten metre high central “palm” made of onyx and back lit to create a one-of-a kind backdrop in an already spectacular lounge space on the top level. The bespoke design catered to the clients desire to provide an environment for formal entertaining as well as private relaxation. All of the curved wall surfaces are wood veneers (either painted or high gloss Makassar ebony) with Wengé wood flooring. The master bath has an onyx floor and the observatorium has a leather floor cut in luxurious radial patterns. Several objects were custom designed for the project to give it a signature feel, including the dining and breakfast tables, bed, coffee table guest room, bath tub and office desk.
