Harvey & John design Veuve Clicquot Champagne installation

Forget Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – it’s all about Harvey & John and the Champagne installation, which is the talk of London town.

Ever since Charlie and his grandpa quaff down a fizzy lifting drink in a floating room we have wondered what it would be like to float in a room full of bubbles.

Okay, so this installation may not make you float – but you can have the next best thing – the sensation of diving into a bottle of bubbly.

“How would it feel if we could shrink ourselves to become so small that we could dive into a glass of Veuve Clicquot Champagne?” This is the question that inspired the latest project from cutting-edge designers Harvey & John, who have teamed up with Andaz Liverpool Street hotel and Veuve Clicquot to create a very unique new installation for the new year.

In an attempt to capture the sensation of floating in a glass of fizz, Harvey & John have developed giant, glowing spheres that will appear to move up and down in the hotel’s lobby. Creating the illusion of bubbles in a glass of champagne, you will feel as if they have been immersed in a giant, effervescent glass of Veuve Clicquot.

The creative duo’s installation will leave you with a sense of innocent wonder, reminiscent of the childhood discovery of something new and remarkable, just like Charlie and his grandpa in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The Dive into a Glass of Veuve Clicquot Champagne installation is open to guests and the public on a complimentary basis until early April 2014 at Andaz Liverpool Street. For more information, visit
