Come out to play at New York’s first ‘straight-friendly’ gay hotel

There are many gay-friendly hotels in New York, but The Out NYC is the city’s first ‘straight-friendly hotel‘, with an onsite restaurant, nightclub and cabaret lounge. Expect all the amenities of a luxury hotel plus extras (condoms and lube).

The uber-trendy Out NYC opened its doors last year to much acclaim, and has since revolutionised New York City’s hospitality landscape as the city’s ‘first straight-friendly urban resort’.

The luxury New York hotel is located on 42nd Street in the heart of Manhattan, just steps from New York’s world-renowned theaters of Broadway and the bright lights of Times Square. It encompasses a 105-room boutique hotel,  a megaclub, Cabaret & Lounge by John Blair, Beto Sutter, and FV Events, a three meal-per-day and late-night dining option called KTCHN Restaurant, private dining facilities, several unique outdoor spaces, function space and a gym.

The luxury New York hotel has an upscale chic decor. There is a lot to hold guests’ attention.  Three internal courtyards, the “Great Lawn” and its mini expanse of bright green Astroturf, funky coloured bean bags, mirrored walls and balconies; an alluring black Bamboo Garden with a long communal table for dining or working; and quite possibly the best of all, the Fire Island-esque sundeck, with its twin hot tubs (not so practical for January), cabanas, sauna and massive waterfall plus plastic boxwood wallcoverings.
