Situated in the diminutive Maldivian archipelago of Rasdhoo Atoll, Kuramathi Island is a mere 1.8 km in length and is trailed by a snaking kilometre of white sandbank, lending a dramatic quality to the idyllic surroundings.
A sense of tranquil isolation is created by an environment of lush and verdant vegetation fringed by the azure waters of the Indian Ocean. However, the apparent remoteness of the island is easily accessible as transfers from Male International Airport take just 20 minutes by seaplane and approximately 90 minutes via speedboat.
Once on the Maldives resort, visitors experience a private paradise of exotic gardens and secluded beaches. Many of the 290 scattered guest villas are newly built or fully-refurbished and are subtly integrated into the natural habitat.
Beach villas retain the facilities of the garden villa whilst adding a four-poster king-sized bed and outdoor rainfall shower. They are also more intimately situated with deluxe beach villas being sited in prime locations nearer the ocean. Water willas which hover directly over the lagoon have a wooden deck leading down into the ocean waters.
Entertainment revolves around the resort’s six bars which host moonlit discos and live music. All the fine wines, beers and cocktails one would expect of a first-class resort are served day and night and no matter where you are on the resort you will be just a short buggy ride away from a good time.
