The Luxury Montpelier Plantation and Beach Hotel, West Indies

Montpelier Plantation and Beach is an elegant but contemporary hotel owned by the Hoffman family who have transformed this renovated 18th-century sugar plantation into an chic boutique hideaway, combining the best of a historical setting with a charming simple chic interior.  Family run with outstanding service, it is a place of heritage, seclusion and pure relaxation.

Idyllically set up in the hills against the breathtaking backdrop of Nevis and St Kitts, surrounded by lush tropical gardens, and with a newly upgraded and expanded private beach, it’s a great place for guests looking to bask in the sun by the fresh water pool or take part in one of the many fun and invigorating activities that Montpelier Plantation and Beach has to offer such as tennis, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking and of course the opportunity to explore the history of Nevis.

The 18-room hotel has been designed to complement its natural surroundings, the spacious rooms are positioned to take advantage of the Trade Winds. The are no TV’s in the rooms, so it really is a place to unwind and switch off.

A proud member of Relais & Chateaux, Montpelier has a big focus on fine dining – and their 750 restaurant has a 5 course tasting menu which changes daily and they use local produce as much as possible with lots of fresh fish, seafood and organic chicken, vegetables and fruit.  They offer a range of innovative dishes with Caribbean flavours and a Nevisian twist. Adelto favourite is the grilled mahi-mahi with plantain mangu  and green curry sauce.

Prices from £264 per room per night (based on two adults sharing) on a B&B basis. For further information visit montpeliernevis.com.
