The Luxury Il Villino Hotel, Tuscany

Il Villino is a splendidly restored farmhouse that sits on a round hilltop not far from Lake Trasimeno and Chiusi on the Tuscan-Umbrian border.

The luxury Tuscan villa is filled with luxuries such as a jacuzzi, a steam shower, a small gym and a serious cook’s kitchen, there are also shady outdoor sitting and dining areas attached to both the house and a beautifully furnished pool house. The pool is fan-shaped, set into an impeccably maintained lawn, with endless views of a gently rolling Tuscan landscape. Extremely comfortable and filled with artistic touches, Il Villino is decorated in a colourful blend of contemporary furniture and antiques offering a luxurious retreat for all who stay here.

The fortified promontory of Castiglione del Lago offers a castle, beaches and sailing 15 minutes’ drive to the north, and to the south is the little hilltop town of Chiusi with its Etruscan tombs and museums.

Assistance is provided locally by the property’s very helpful caretaker, who speaks a little English and lives in an apartment with a separate entrance on the ground floor. Services included in the rental fee, and optional services available
