Cape Town-based interior design studio Antoni Associates of SAOTA have completed the gorgeous Alphen Hotel. Finished in 2011 the five-star hotel is located in Constantia, Cape Town, South Africa.
The historic Alphen Hotel in the Constantia Valley in Cape Town recently re-opened as a 5-star boutique establishment. The luxury Cape Town property now offers ultimate boutique accommodation with two independently operated restaurants. Further features include three bars, a deli, a conference & business centre and outdoor events facilities.
The luxury South African otel aims to attract leisure and corporate, local and international guests. A modern and playful twist has been added to the décor and design, whilst preserving the rich backdrop of history. The concept is marrying old with new and part of the décor is an extensive private collection of antique furniture and art, combined with specially commissioned, contemporary new works.
The 21 luxurious suites have all the trimmings expected of a five-star property – his and her bathrooms, rain showers, three-tier mini-bars, multi-media entertainment systems, in-room business services, king-size beds and private terraces.
Offering Cape Hospitality since the 18th century and declared a national monument in 1973, The Alphen was originally part of the Groot Constantia Estate. Producing wine and export fruit, it was the first estate to grow grapes, make and bottle wine and sell it to the public. Today, it has once again re-established itself as a must visit venue.
