The Dean: Dublin’s new contemporary hotel

The Dean is a fresh and creative new addition to Dublin‘s hotel scene. Located at 33 Harcourt Street, smack bang in the heart of the city, the hotel is a luxury residence that sets the scene with strong contemporary design.

All the hotel‘s bedrooms have a common music theme – with names like Hi-Fi, Mod Pod and Punk Bunks. The hotel also houses two luxury suites – The Devlin and The James – with great separate living rooms and a pretty cool two bedroom Penthouse with a huge living space, The Loft.

Rooms are filled with fun: Rega turntables, vinyl and books from Tower Records Dublin, Marshall amps, Nespresso machines, SMEG fridges loaded with liquor, Irish munchie trays piled high with local goodies and plenty more to amuse.

An investment of quarter of a million euros was made in commissions and acquisitions of artworks from new emerging Irish artists, from fine art to typography, street art to photography, the walls are packed with visual treats. You can purchase prints of a number of works at hotel reception, as well as other eclectic products on display from cult Irish store Indigo and Cloth.

The 52-room hotel also boasts a handful of colourful venues. The ground floor Dean Bar offers breakfast, rotisserie, beers, cocktails and live DJs. Head upstairs to find the Rooftap Terrace and Sophie’s Restaurant and Bar, where an Italian/New York/Irish vibe is served up with panoramic views of Dublin city and county as a backdrop.
