The city of Bath, where the hotel is located was voted the UK’s 3rd Best City in October’s Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Awards, and the ‘new look’ Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa would make a great option for those seeking a midweek break, luxurious spa weekend or foodie getaway to the historic city of Bath .

The refurbishment and restoration programme was a labour of love, with every effort made to restore this beautiful example of Georgian heritage sympathetically. Somerset-based designer Jane Clayton Interiors worked with Brian Cohen, project manager on behalf of Topland Group , to carry out work on this project.

History lovers will be thrilled not only by the hotel’s Georgian architecture, but by historical references throughout.  The 45 rooms and suites were individually re-designed, plasterwork ceilings restored, and period features protected.  Every room has been artfully curated to give it a distinctive character, with classic antique pieces such as four-poster beds or roll top baths. All of the suites have been named after famous Bath residents, including Lord Nelson, Gainsborough, Brinsley Sheridan, Eliza Lucas and Elizabeth Linley.

Encouraging guests to experience these rooms and suites in style, the hotel has launched a series of new packages.  Those looking for the ultimate Bath experience can take advantage of the new midweek ‘suite indulgence’, which includes suite accommodation, breakfast, three course dinner in The Dower House Restaurant and one half hour spa treatment per person in the hotel’s luxury spa.
