Robert Angell a London-based design practice has scooped an award for Best Design, Multiple Restaurant for Piccolino, an Italian restaurant and bar located on Heddon Street at this year’s Restaurant & Bar Design Awards.

The space was designed under the direction of interior designer Robert Angell, whose past projects have included Nobu and The Wolseley.

The restaurant boasts two decadent Italian marble bars, a lower ground floor lounge bar plus an all year round terrace that buzzes from midday until late. The atmosphere is second to none for eating great Italian food with great cocktails.

Steven Walker, manager of Individual restaurants, said: “It is always great to win an award. Rob took what was already an exciting and successful restaurant and just made it better when we decided to have our refurbishment. Our loyal followers have certainly been wowed by the change.”

The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards rewards both designers and operators for design excellence. The judging panel consists of industry leaders including magazine editors, restaurant founders and designers.
