Luxury Sussex Gardens project, London
London-based award-winning interior designers and architects March & White have completed the Sussex Gardens project. Completed in 2012, the 63 luxury serviced apartments by London’s Hyde Park, have tranformed a prominent Victorian building into one of the city’s most exciting new places to stay.
March & White have completed the redesign of the 208 Sussex Gardens, a grade 2 listed stucco-fronted terrace, creating a different theme for each floor. The lucky owners can choose from studio, one and two-bedroom apartments in styles that range from the theatrical Hollywood-inspired look of the ‘Glitz and Glamour’ floor to the warm and modern Scandinavian decor of the third floor.
The luxury London apartments, which contain 63 strikingly contemporary apartments within a Grade II Listed 1840s Victorian building, is the new flagship property of leading serviced apartments company Go Native. Unlike conventional hotel spaces, all apartments at 208 Sussex Gardens are fully equipped with high-quality kitchen appliances and have been conceived to offer guests the flexibility and comfort of a home with the amenities and luxurious touches of a boutique hotel.
A key part of the design brief was to be sensitive to the building’s heritage and retain many period elements, such as the original staircases and fireplaces, whilst introducing strong elements of contemporary design.
The reception has been designed to greet guests with an eclectic mix of contemporary finishes and modern furniture; the latter can be rearranged to create a more relaxed living room feel or an open reception space. The prominent design of the bespoke etched-mirror reception desk, combined with the marble features throughout and the floor-to-ceiling mirrors, helps create an uplifting environment as soon as the guest walks through the front door.
