Luxury residential development – 46 St. James’s Place, London

British architectural practice, Morey Smith, have designed 46 St. James Place. Completed in 2013, the the project was a refurbishment of two original period buildings on the exclusive St James’s Place, London.

This is the first boutique residential development spearheaded by Lana de Savary, wife of entrepreneur Peter de Savary, with the help of designer and architect Linda Morey Smith and property managers Harwood International.

“Our family are well known across several continents for exquisite, bespoke luxury and exceptional high standards. This is my first project in St James’s, London, and I have spared no effort in trying to emulate the many international successes achieved by my husband Peter”, says Lana de Savary.

These very same trademark standards have now been applied to residential living with 46 St James’s Place – a first of its kind de Savary residential development in the centre of London’s upmarket Mayfair and St James’s districts.

The Crown Estate, the company that manages the Queen’s property, recently unveiled a £500 million redevelopment of some of London’s most exclusive properties. The estate owns around 50 per cent of the buildings in the area, and the regeneration of 46 St. James’s Place is a great example of what can be achieved.

The luxury London property has been transformed from two vertical, five-storey buildings into a single, entirely new building that comprises an exquisite sky view penthouse and three exceptional apartments, which are located just a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace, St James’s Palace and Clarence House.

“Our vision was to create individual and exclusive luxury apartments with attention to detail throughout. We have passionately tried to create something that is unique to St James’s”, says Linda Morey Smith.
