Luxury Lake House in Rio Acima, Brazil

Luxury-Home-Brazil-11

Brazilian architectural practice, David Guerra Architecture and Interior, have designed the Lake House project. The luxury family home was built in a very high inclined terrain, next to an environmental protection area, in the city of Rio Acima, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

According to the architects: “The idea was to make a central basis box with the balconies suspended, giving the idea of a frame where the landscape would be involved.

“The 340 square meters luxury Brazilian house was built for a business woman with an adult son.

“On the first floor, you can find the garage, hall, laundry room, living room, dining room, balcony, guest bedroom and master bedroom. On the lower floor you can find the games room, kitchen, bedroom, service areas, service bedroom and bathroom, son’s bedroom (with an independent entry), balcony and a deck.

“The mix of styles in the rooms was used in a way to realise the wish of the owner: a big space where she could entertain all of her friends and family in a cozy way. So, the dining room, living room, balcony and kitchens are integrated.”

The interior design is luxury living Brazilian style. The living room is fitted out with an Indian carpet Mardan, from Marie Camille. Le Corbusier chairs and the 50s red armchair are from Hindy Elawar. The sofa collection, the tables in black lacquer and Dobro wood are from de designer Alfio Lisi, and the glass table Zaro is from Tetum. Adelto loves the Zanini Caldas armchairs and 50s side table from AD Vintage. The Nicia Braga ceramic, Marcos Benjamim sculpture and the Paulo Whitaker picture from Belizário Art Gallery complete the chic interior design of this room.
