Enjoy a private chalet experience at Chedi Andermatt, Switzerland
Luxury Swiss hotel The Chedi Andermatt has unveiled a stunning new top floor suite that boasts a private chalet experience, just in time for ski season.
The Chedi Andermatt’s new ‘furka suite’ overlooks the spectacular Saint-Gotthard Massif mountain range and has been designed by ‘living legend’ Jean-Michel Gathy, chief design at Denniston architects.
The ‘furka suite’ consists of three bedrooms with the master bedroom on the first floor, complete with his and her dressing rooms. The chalet style architecture of the suite allows you to be as open or as private as you like – perfect for those looking to escape. The suite also features a dining room which seats eight, along with a private spa equipped with a glass sauna, steam bath and waterfall showers, allowing you to unwind in your own private wellness sanctuary.
The design-led hotel opened in December 2013, and its debut marks the completion of the first phase of the Andermatt Swiss Alps development project, an exclusive and sustainable expansion of the traditional Swiss resort, which promises to be a world-class, year-round destination.
The hotel is an architectural landmark where alpine chic meets Asian Zen, and the design mixes tradition with modernity to create a connection between the hotel and its stunning surroundings. The 105 opulent rooms and suites feature dark wood floors, luxurious furnishings, spacious living areas and spectacular views.
