Luxury ‘Gestüt Famos’ Horse Farm & cottage, Germany

Luxury-home-Germany-02

Beautifully nestled in the undulating landscapes of Lower Saxony, this stunning property is located just half an hour south of Bremen, Germany.  The cottage dates back to 1809 and was refurbished when the stud farm was built in 2002. The property perfectly combines all modern features required for breeding and training horses with beautiful aesthetics.

“Gestüt Famos” is an ultramodern stud farm, built in 2002 on the premise of combining breeding and sport in the best possible manner. The building complex with generous stables, a brightly lit indoor arena and an automatic horse walker fits harmoniously on the park-like property with large outdoor rings, paddocks and pastures. When selecting breeding stallions at “Gestüt Famos”, great value was placed not only on the very best bloodlines but also on performance in sport. An experienced and knowledgeable
team is currently managing the “Gestüt Famos”, consisting of Helmut Klein and Karl Brocks, a rider successful in international show jumping, who is responsible for training and showing the stallions and horses.

The indoor riding hall is brightly lit thanks to the huge window areas. With a total of 40 meters by 80 meters, it offers perfect training facilities as well as a unique setting for stud shows and riding events. All parts of the building were meticulously planned to match all modern standards in a very lavish, luxurious ambience.

The main building of this antique cottage was meticulously refurbished by the current owners. The huge living room with marvelous views is connected to an ample, yet cozy room with an open fireplace. On the other side of the entrée there is a spacious dining room with an adjacent wintergarden; the latter was added in 2001 and provides a stunning view on the stud farm. The exclusive kitchen offers superb equipment and a set of stairs leads down to the wine cellar.

The attic on the upper floor of the cottage was converted in a total of four sumptous suites, each with an own bathroom. The master suite also features a large dressing room with exclusive wooden furbishings. The whole building harmoniously mixes modern day amenities with the cozy and charming looks of the countryside.
