Luxurious Masseria Lamacoppa, Puglia

Masseria Lamacoppa , just outside Ostuni in Puglia, is a luxurious 17th century manor house. With its vaulted ceilings and eclectic mix of art and furniture, this luxury Italian property houses a dedicated gym and private hammam. It is surrounded by 170 acres of forest, including a walled courtyard filled with lemon trees and olive groves.

The luxury Italian villa boasts a huge pool, about the size of a cricket pitch. An ingenious canal leads from the main pool to a Jacuzzi area that fits up to a dozen people comfortably. A gentle incline leads into the refreshing waters, which gain their cobalt hue from the black pool lining. The surrounding lawns are lush and green, and a rich canopy of trees surrounds the pool.

The ground floor hosts a series of living rooms characterised by their high vaulted ceilings. The thick stone walls open out on each side to walled courtyards, ensuring a continuous flow of cool air even at the height of the most torrid summer. The living areas and reception rooms are sublimely decorated and furnished and include a TV room and various reading/relaxing rooms. Accommodation on this floor is completed by a guest bathroom and a spacious reading room that also doubles as a dining room when the weather does not permit al fresco dining.

The first floor is home to four en-suite double bedrooms and a twin bedroom, all of which come with views over the courtyards and surrounding countryside. The sixth double bedroom, again with en-suite bathroom, is accessed just a few metres across the courtyard from the main house. Images courtesy of Think Sicily.

The property sleeps up to 12, with prices starting from £5,100 per week, including daily cleaning and a private cook. Masseria Lamacoppa is available for rental through Puglia villa specialists Think Puglia.
