A house that was built for Jack, Kiev, Ukraine

Kiev-based interior designer and architect Sergey Makhno has completed the Jack’s house project. The contemporary holiday home is located in Kiev Ukraine.

According to the firm: “The main factor in this project is that the contemporary house was built with small budge of only a $100,000 but as a result the client received a modern minimalistic home with garden and barbecue arbour.

“In general, physical form the building is divided into two parts with similar shapes and sizes. The first cube facade is reverted with plaster and embroidered in the form of squares and second is decorated with black painted wooden panels with ahorizontal line structure. Transparent glass windows at the front wall of the house offer a green view of the garden. The contemporary Kiev property is 105 sqm in size and is made with a mixture of wood and concrete.

“This house has two floors, the ground floor includes the living room with a big concrete fireplace, kitchen and a bath built in the earth.  The second floor has two bedrooms, bathroom room and a library.”
