South Korean architectural practice Seungmo Lim has designed the Pure Crystal project. Completed in 2013, the minimally design room is located in Hotel The Designers, a trendy boutique hotel in Seoul, South Korea.

The room, Pure Crystal, is a special suite in the hotel and the interior design is filled with a sparkling glow and delicate textures of crystal.

According to the architects: “Continued smooth surface and edge of furnishings and walls amplifies the ‘flexibility’ of the space. Projections of furnishings on walls imbued with light make the boundary vague and expand the dimension to grant a unique experience to the guests.

“On an L-shaped surface, multiple furnishings including bed, sofa, table, and bathroom fixtures are arranged as a single set of body. The pink-coloured bath tub is located between bedroom and bathroom to perform as an object – which connects the two places – but also determines each space at the same time.

“Patterns of the floor, contours of furnishings, and louvers of the ceiling are combined together to maximise sensitivity of the space.”
