Contemporary Rietveld Bungalow, Netherlands

Remy Meijers a Utrecht-based interior designer has completed the interior of this 1950s bungalow. The chic property is situated in Baambrugge, Netherlands.

According to the architects: “The gable of this bungalow, designed by none other than Gerrit Rietveld, still exudes a 1950s feel. Beyond the characteristic façade, in true Rietveld fashion, two former homes have been knocked into one. In doing so, the layout of the house has been completely altered in line with the resident family’s requirements. Daylight can flood deep into the rooms thanks to the creation of several additional windows at the front of the contemporary Netherlands property. Images courtesy of René Gonkel.
