Japanese architectural practice Kidosaki Architects Studio have completed the Asamayama residence project. Completed in 20122, the contemporary home can be found in Asamayama Tsukudeiwanami, Shinshiro, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
According to the architects: “The owner spent quite a few years to find this site, therefore the main concern was to link the beautiful vast sea of trees spread out to Mount Asama (Asama-yama in Japanese) with the internal space of the contemporary Japanese property.
“First of all, you can enjoy a sea of trees from the approach deck to the entrance. When you open the large door to the living room, Mount Asama is in full view, it’s a picture postcard view.
“Furthermore, we designed the bathroom so the owner could enjoy the full view of Mt Asama whilst taking a bath. The magnificent view of Mount Asama and the sky from the terrace is really amazing.”
