Contemporary La Planicie Home, Peru

Doblado Arquitectos a San Isidro-based design studio has designed the House in La Planicie. Completed in 2011 the two-storey contemporary house can be found in La Planicie, La Molina, Lima, Peru.

The contemporary Lima property was built with a total budget of £150,000 and is built on a longitudinal lot, therefore most spaces have views that avoid the patios.

According to the architects: ” The first level is where you can find the living room, dining room, kitchen, guest bathroom, and en-suite master bedroom. The second level has two bedrooms, a lounge and bathrooms.

“The program focuses on two programmatic slots, which in turn generate three components that show the spaces and the construction system: a service volume of a floor, social spaces and rooms on two floors.

“The facade is a plane concrete structure, which has been modulated to different textures of the facade. The internal movement allows two independent circuits, by way of a promenade, entering through the garage or the terrace. The outdoor living space benefits from a patio area and swimming pool, this really is a great contemporary Lima home.” Images courtesy of Juan Solano.
