Contemporary House in Somosaguas, Spain

Town planning and architect studio A-Cero have designed this outstanding contemporary house in the heart of Somosaguas, a luxury residential district of Pozuelo de Alarcon, near Madrid in Spain. The 18,300 square-foot structure rests in one acre of land. The house on first impressions clearly oozes style, with its modern curves and bold shapes that intertwine with its natural context, while keeping an ultra modern look. The luxury home fits in with the works of minimalist sculptor David Nash or could even be described as a piece of land art.

Joaquin Torres, director, said: “From the first moment the house clearly shows its intentions, and risky stylized forms, thanks to a subtle handling of curves that match harmoniously with their natural context without sacrificing a distinctly modern look.

“We try to make architecture and sculpture spectacular, always within the rules, and in turn, requires a plan that respects the customer, seeking to achieve maximum convenience to live in the house every day with comfort.”

The uber chic home boasts a gymnasium, outdoor pool, massage room, theatre, wine cellar, games rooms and a Txoko. In the Japanese-inspired garden you can find various Bonsai trees and shrubs. Also, large ornamental rocks transported in from Galicia really set the scene for this contemporary garden. Images courtesy of A-Cero.
