Beautiful Holiday Home by Jarmund/Vigsnæs Arkitekter
Jarmund/Vigsnæs Arkitekter have designed the Dune house in Thorpeness, Suffolk, England, a beautiful, contemporary home that encapsulates the atmosphere of the Suffolk coast, yet maintains a luxurious, unique glow.
Replacing an existing building on the site, the residence will be a holiday house for rental, and is inkeeping with the existing, typical British seaside scene. With an air of romanticism surrounding it, the Dune house is a gorgeous, contemporary home. The exterior, as mentioned previously, maintains the atmosphere of the British seaside buildings neighbouring it. The stunning, black roof is traditional, yet the architect has utilised contemporary techniques to ensure it stands out. The interior maintains the traditional holiday home feeling; a spacious, comfortable and luxurious assortment of rooms. The main living area houses a beautiful view, as well as bountiful space for either privacy or sociability – whichever is preferred. The kitchen is an efficient, well-structured and designed space suitable for deluxe living. The bedroom and bathroom upstairs use a stylish, wooden material to create yet more luxurious living, while the vast space and excellent views make this holiday home one to remember.
