Award-Winning Design, Hotel Altis Prime, Lisbon

Award-winning designer Cristina Jorge de Carvalho who won the coveted Best Hotel Interior for Europe and Best Hotel Interior in Portugal by the International Design Awards and European Hotel Awards for the interior design of Altis Prime. The stunning hotel can be found close to Avenida da Liberdade, Lisbon, Portugal.

Altis Prime are luxury hotel apartments that inaugurate a new concept of  ‘Home Business’ and luxury apartments. The luxury Lisbon apartments are suited for those looking for an elegant and comfortable long-term accommodation in the heart of the Portuguese capital.

Cristina Jorge de Carvalho designed the entire project including the architecture and interior decoration.

Spread over eight floors, with apartments between T0 and T3, Cristina Jorge de Carvalho designed the interior of the 78 apartments in the Altis Prime. The main objective was to create a contemporary space that was elegant and solemn, noticeable by its comfort, luxury and extreme functionality.

The entrance to the luxury Lisbon apartments develops from a volume in American walnut, which marks the entrance area (with kitchenette) and bathroom adjoining the bedroom, adding a warm touch to the space, which contrasts with the remaining area of the apartment that progress in a more clear and fluid manner.

The interior design touches set the ambiance as contemporary yet timeless. The pieces, mostly designed by CJC, are cleverly mixed with classic pieces by international designers. Photographs of Lisbon by André Boto cover the walls. The soft and neutral colour, in a palette that ranges from beiges to ashes, transports you to a somewhat masculine environment, which contrasts with the elegance of the pieces designed.

The materials used range from Floor Terrazzo to Pozzulano stucco (with a rough cement look), American walnut, glass wafer or hydraulic mosaic work; the outcome of a search in opposites which results in an elegant balance, sober and timeless – a main characteristic of CJC environments.

As a result of her work, Cristina Jorge de Carvalho also highlights the lobby, bar lounge, meeting room and terrace / solarium with panoramic views over the city of Lisbon.
